I've heard the 22-250 is a very flat, accurate, and long range shooting rifle but has noticeably more expensive bullets than the .223 which is not as long range but is still a good predator rifle, but other people disagree and say that its the other way around. So my question is: which gun is more or less cheaper to shoot?
Any thoughts?
The .223 rifle is cheaper, but you give up both velocity and energy with the .223 over the 22-250 or 220 Swift. That and the weight of bullets for the 223 are limited to the rather lighter weight bullets as where the 250 or 220 shoot heavier bullets as a whole for better wind bucking results.
