Problems with the Wolf
I traded my CVA Buckhorn for a Wolf last week. Last Saturday I tried to shoot it, but it was to windy and could not keep the target up, so only shot one round of 777 pellets out of it. That was the first time I have ever shot 777, I have always shot Pyrodex. Tuesday I tried sighting it in with Pyrodex, but had broken on of the bolts holding the site on, I replaced the bolts and went out yestarday and sighted it in with 777. The one thing I notice about 777 is seems to be cleaner than Pyrodex. Even though I only bought a 24 pack of 777 pellets, I am thinking of going with the 777 powder. I am using Remington Kleanbore 209 primers because that is what walmart carried last year. Would the Winchester 777 primers be better?
I am still going to try Blackhorn, but no one local carries it.
Ok, now for the problem. The first three times I shot it, the hammer ****ed normal, then, all the shots after, the hammer would pull back about half way then had alot of resistance with the primer in. With the primer out, it pulled back nomal. Only when the primer is in is when it is met with resistance about half way pulled back. Any one know what could be causing this?
