You probabably have shot your Triumph more than I have mine... but at typical range session I will shoot at least 30 rounds, often different primers and powder volumns and have never had a problem removing the plug by hand - but I tape the plug for installation - which probably is not needed.

Rusting the gas rings surely would be possible if you left the them or the gun uncleaned for a long period of time, after all spring steel is still steel. Do your maintenance - not a problem.

'O' rings - i did buy a spare package of them from the nice lady at TC although she said it would be a rareity that I would need one. They are here in the house some place and I think I could find them if I needed to.
