I just traded my Buckhorn for a Wolf thinking I will be able to use BH in it because of the type of breech plug that the Wolf uses. Then I read in a post that the new style QRBP breech plug is not reliable with BH 209, which is the plug my Wolf has. I can't afford to run out and buy a powder that will not work in my muzzleloader or several types of bullets for testing.(Who the heck would make a BP that won't work in guns is beyond me) but I really want a BP that I don't have to clean my gun after every shot. I have only used Pyrodex and have never tried Triple Seven.

Has any one have any luck using BH in the Wolfs with the QRBP plug? And if so, what amount and bullet?

What is the differance between Pyrodex and Triple Seven?
