My buddy bagged both a doe and the buck that was chasing her about 800 metres off a road last year. We went in around 4:30 and it got dark really quick. There was a small swamp, and then tons and tons of 1 or 2 inch poplar saplings to pull them through.

It was so gnarly that I literally fell three times and never hit the ground because of those trees. Once we got out of that it tough finding our way around the small marsh (in the dark no less).

I shot two deer last year. The first only 25 yards off a trail and the second about 50 yards from the trucks. You got it. My buddy still takes a beating for his! The old boys in our group started talking about taking his gun away when he dogs.
