I think Lynch is one of those "exceptions" that "brushbuster" mentioned above. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
Knowing the history of Lynch box calls I still consider them to be more than a "run of the mill" production call (even though they technically are). They sound fantastic and I know I won't be in the woods without a Fool Proof. Having said that I can also say that when I compare the quality of today's Lynch and my Father's old Lynch there isn't much comparison. Even though they still sound great it seems they don't even bother to sand the new ones. To me, that is taking a shortcut or doing a half-"baked" job. I think that's were custom calls pick it up. The quality is just better than "store bought".
