My daughter and I walked up on a badger one morning this fall on our way to the stand. Never saw one in the wild before, so it was pretty cool. I was just glad we had our headlamps on because he didn't seem very scared of us, but I think the lights made him think twice about coming any closer. 10 yards was close enough for me.

Also had a llama come trotting by my treestand this year, that was pretty funny.
