placed an higher peep sight blade on my cva hawken 50 cal. it was shooting higher then even all sled to the bottom notch of the blade.
while shooting my ruger 96/22. had to put new rings on it last night. great shooting with the ammo, scope, and ring combo I have ever had with this gun. going to my 3rd mag of ammo, click, ok an dud, cycle, click, three more, guy I was shooting with does gun work took an lock. my action was not full not touching the chamber. took the action apart. cleaned it put it back together. same thing.
got home, put some foaming bore cleaner down both muzzleloaders as an pre soak as i wanted to figure what is wrong with my 22. took it apart, started to pull the barrel out of the housing, noticed the screws where really loose. pushed the barrel back in, replaced the screws, put the gun back together. put 5 rds in my mag, went out the front door. fired and cycle (minus one jam) like it should.
just had to ask my self, "HOW THE HELL DID THE BARREL COME LOOSE". sad thing is, I had everything I needed to fix it at the range.
my wife came home, starts going thru the mail. my screws for my 54cal came in 2 days ago. not going to go into the problems there.
