Better luck next time out there Breechplug. I give you a lot of credit for going out and braving the conditions.
Dave I did, I call it (Sneak and Peak) I walked the whole Property today, 267 acres, just 2 OLD Deer Tracks and nothing fresh. Usually the place is Loaded with Tracks and Deer. But the Guy's on the Neighboring Propertys have'nt been out Hunting because of the Weather. There was 7 of us today on the Property, no Deer sightings and the 2 Tracks I saw were the only one's.
Usually we take a few Deer at least from this piece of property and pass up a-lot.
I never quit and usually dont get into the Deer untill December, so I still have Pleanty of time, untill Dec 21st.
Im not (yet) regretting the Big 19" 6pt that I passed up the second day of the Season. But I think from now on out, a Big Doe 120lbs or better is going in the Freezer.
