My group of 4 hunts a few miles from Isabella. The first day it was very windy and we saw only one deer. No shot. No one else was having much luck either, very little shooting, even in the far distance. The second day I got a nice 8 point in the morning. That was the last deer we saw opening weekend. There was lots of sign, but we sure didn't see much.

There is another group of about 6 guys that normally hunts nearby that wasn't up this year. That may have had something to do with it. One of my nephews and I have one more try next weekend with the muzzleloaders.
