YES the draw stop should
definitely hit the limb. You just need to make sure you don' t have the letoff/valley set too high/wide otherwise the cable will bottom on the track first ,then it overrotates just a tad as you draw to the wall (Causing the wear), then the stop hits the limb directly after.
You cannot " feel" this really unless it' s way out of whack.You have to see it like your pro-shop did under most circumstances.
