Sounds like you've got the right gun and ammo. The main thing I would like to stress as a tip would be safety. Be aware of what is in your shooting lane and where everyone else is, keep your safety on and finger off the trigger, and walk with everyone in line. Other than that, choose good apparel for the weather, and a good blaze orange vest with a game bag in the back. A cap and sunglasses for glare, dependable boots....you can figure it out with a little thought. Make sure your gun is clean and well lubricated prior to going out, and it never hurts to have some basic tools to breakdown and clean your gun in case of a malfunction. I often leave a cleaning rod and bore mop in the vehicle just in case...a plugged barrel will stop your day, or at least slow it down if you hafta go back home. Pheasant makes an awfully good meal, I hope you fill your bag and enjoy it.
