From everything I have heard, it is the closest thing there is to a turkey magnet. Also enjoyed by deer and other critters. In our northern climes, it is planted as an annual crop making it a bit pricey with the cost of tubers to plant. If its planted in ground that gets hard, it is helpful to loosen up the soil a bit around a few of the plants and expose the tubers when they are ready at end of growing season so they can find them, they will dig up the rest themselves. One other thing I have heard is that raccoons can be a problem when you plant tubers in spring, digging them up before they grow. How this help
