I have just completed a gun introduction DVD for the retriever. This is a method that will work for first time intro as well as gunshy dogs. I had a professional trainer from Ohio look at it and he said that it's an effective method and well laid out video.
It's a step by step method that introduces the gun in a way that makes a positive association with the gun instead of expecting the dog to just tolerate the gunfire.
