Default Response to hearing first gobble(haveme1)

Yes, it's mighty funny how you can remember the first time you hear a gobble in the woods. I was very lucky(and still am) to have members of my family who were from the old school and taught me a few select secrets on turkeys and from a brief working stint with Sanderson Farms in Collins, Ms become friends with Preston Pittman who really taught me how to put birds over my shoulder on a consistent basis. I wonder haveme1, have you hunted around Macon or Portersville? We (family) own 410 acres between Portersville and Boyd right on the MS/Al line. God's country indeed. In fact Toxey Haas (Mossy Oak)has purchased 223 acres next to us. I don't know about other areas of the country but this is where the true turkey hunters were educated and crowned. Anybody remember Mr. Jack Dudly? If barefoot and haveme1 are in the area just meet me at the new gas station across from the "white store" on Hwy 45 in Portersville and I'll show you some real turkey woods!
