Varies by each season and partly what part of the state you're in actually....here in WI, the rut should be right about full-swing in Northern WI come opener on November 20th. Supposed to peak over the next 2 weeks here, according to the WDNR. Right now, we have bucks sparring and just starting to chase does where I hunt in NW WI. Check the regs for rifle areas.
