Too much rattling?
Could rattling and grunting actually scare a buck away? I went out this morning and did 30 seconds of rattling every 30-45 minutes or so. Over the course of 4 hours I had 5 different does come in at 4 different times (1-1-2-1) shortly after rattling to see what the excitment was about. But no bucks. In one case I saw 2 does being chased by a buck shortly after rattling at about 100 yards. The does came right towards me while the buck stopped and was never was seen again.
Could rattling and grunting scare bucks away but not does?
