I've thought of that myself. But if the scent dissipates the longer it's on the ground, it's actually going to be strongest in the last place it was.

I personally haven't had one work, but then I don't see too many bucks around because they tend to flee the deerdogs first. My worst fear is having something get on the trail as I'm laying it in the dark walking to my stand. A coyote, bobcat or big buck thinking I'm a doe in estrous just doesn't seem like an enjoyable experience at Dark-Thirty on the morning.
