I've had many model700's and there some of the best rifles made. I have 2 made before 82 and yes I had trouble with one when the safety was pushed off it'd fire sent it in and they took care of it haven't had no trouble sence it's been my goto gun for years. The older ones (before82) had problems but when there sent in to be fixed and the newer ones are good and any injuries are from carelessness not the gun.
