I agree with you. Once you have shot a few deer, its time to hunt for the big one's. I have shot my share of small deer also. Last year I let a small 6 point walk, and that ended up being the only deer I ever had a chance to shoot at. I got skunked last year because of it. It was the first time in 15 years I didn't get a deer in either bow or gun season. When it comes down to the last couple days of the season, all bets are off. The only thing thats safe then are the fawns....
I hate to say that, but I would like to have the meat. I hunt a small 35 acer spot and I don't get to many opportunities to shoot at deer.
