You will not need to do the fiberglass routine at this time, when you get to see the pictures it will make a whole lot more sense to you.

At this point and because you are so close to hunting season just shimming the pockets will work for you for now... if that is the problem which I am almost sure it might be.

The other thing if you are bench shooting with a front rest keep the rest as far back on the under side of the stock as you can that will reduce the compression of the stock against the barrel.

The last resort if there is time - I have a extra black Omega stock with the work already done you could certainly borrow for hunting season if I can get it to you quick enough....
