I paid $300 for 8 birds about 10 years ago and absolutely loved it. I know it isn't the same as going after wild birds, but for someone like me it is as close as I can get. There aren't enough birds around to justify having a dog and I am not much on owning dogs anyway.

My dad and grandfathers bird hunted when I was very young, but my grandfathers were too old to hunt by the time I was old enough and he had gotten rid of his dogs. If you can afford it I say do it, I had the best time I have ever had hunting. Just watching the dogs do their thing was fun, it is a bonus that we actually got to shoot the birds.
