20 yrds at a moving target with a 30-30 is a pretty doable shot.
I certainly would have done it. My first deer was killed by the Texas Heart Shot. A surgeon or Engineer couldn't have done a better job getting that bullet up there than I did.It was perfect. Now would I do it again? Absolutely not. But it killed the animal instantly.But yeah it
was my first opportunity a killing a deer. This particular kill shot is part of the hunting training manual so I took it. It does work.LOL
But I wait for better shots now . But honestly there was no way in hell I was gonna let that buck just walk away from me, that was my first buck .I had a very very clear shot at a vital so I took it.
No regretts cause it worked out perfect but I know that I took my .1 % of getting it right.
