Default RE: " Black Ice" Teflon coating review

Randy are you talking about the " T-coat" process that is peformed by a gentleman that does extensive work for the military/law enforcement communitees? If so your remarks are SPOT ON! The finish is incredible to say the least. I have a friend who had a stainless/laminated 700 Remington done a couple of years ago by this gentleman and its simply amazing. I keep wanting to send my rifles for the full treatment, but the guy is snowed under with work by special forces, the FBI and other govt agencies (I believe this summer he had an order for coating 1500 pistols from Quantico). My understanding was that part of the specs on this coating was that it was required to hold up to M16s that were stuck in the surf on the beach for several days and it passes that test with flying colors. Is it perfectly black or kind of a dark olive finish?

AWESOME stuff!
