Just thought id share a little saftey tip. It may have been covered before, but I went hunting with a friend yesterday when I walked up to the stand that I was to be in I noticed several small trees just hacked with a machete at the base of the stand looked like "punji sticks". So my point to all this is there is enough danger in falling out of a tree without worrying aboout getting impaled by a tree stump so do yourself and anyone that may hunt with you and saw anything you may need cut around your stand as flush with the ground as possible.
