Nocturnal. That just means you don't see them in the open during daylight hrs. The big ones are somewhere moving during the day. They just dont bed for 12 hrs of daylight. They won't come out in the open if they can eat acorns close to their bedding areas. If you wanna see deer gotta get out there and find them.
