Thanks for the input guys I have made some mistakes I will admit it, the mistakes a first full hunting season rookie makes learning how it is done. Mr. Deer Hunter here is some more input on why and how I have done it the way I have thus far. The tree stand I got busted trying to get to twice is located at least 150 yards south of the bedding area and 80 yards south from the bean field I scouted from 500 or more yards away in my car on the opposit side of the road. I have observed them from a distance and located the bedding area by going into the woods from the rear of their bedding area through the woods. I'm not going after a big Buck only I want at least 2 Does in the freezer before I focus on the Bucks all out. I like any other hunting would like to get a Buck bigger than the one I got last year. I want an 8 pointer because I took a 7 last year on the ground which is where I prefer to hunt. I have a climber and have prepared places for it as well all in good proven paths to the only water source in the area which is where I set up monday night and saw all the Does coming from that area. Now correct me if I'm wrong but Deer have more than one path to desired destinations and with a Bow only to hunt with at this time If I'm off 40 yards I'm not in a good shot situation being new at hunting and still learning to shoot consistantly at 0 to 30 yards. Any pointers given are gladly received with gratitude because I have worked hard to better my chances and I'm learning each time I go out. Uncle Norby as you have stated I use my times out to learn more about them,a Buck to me is a bonus but the meat is what I like more than the antlers. As regards trails and paths they criss cross all over each other in this area I'm hunting which has never been Bow hunted before only gun on November the 13th. I hope this helps you see my situation and what I'm up against.I did not hunt there again for two days after I was busted on friday, should I stay away more than two days after geting busted? I'm hunting in Indiana. Thanks
