Any ground blind is an advantage provided it's put in place long before the season opens. I hunt exclusively from ground blinds, but I make mine out of natural surroundings "fallen trees" and logs. Usually 4 sided and big enough to allow me to move around a bit. The natural stuff is less alarming to a deer I think especially if the deer use the area on a regular basis and really dont nothice someting "new". I build them a bit like a log cabin, interlocking the timbers so that it's sturdy enough to double as a gun rest. My page has a picture of one on my album. Yes, it has an un-natural roof on it but I put that on in the early Spring to give the deer plenty of time to get used to it. I've had deer pass by me at less than 10 feet away and never know I was there. That's more exciting to me than shooting one.
