Camp dry works on articles that are absorbent such as cotton clothes and leather boots. It does not work on materials that are already treated or are made of a polyester type material...

It takes about a day for camp dry to absorb into most materials.
It is a silicone base and it's not made to be put on a couple of minutes before you are ready to go hunting.

I use a regular boot dressing on my hunting shoes not a spray on like Camp Dry. Most Bees Wax type dressings works better in my opinion on shoes that are worn in rain and snow.
