Hey Country Dad: Lolo here. Agree wit CamoCop. As we talked the other day, the one time I went there I saw the checkstation but was closed. I checked the regulations and this probably explains:

" HUNTERS AND CHECK STATIONS:
2. During the spring turkey season and the first 9 days of general gun season, hunters shall check all game taken at a designated check station before leaving the area".

Not sure as I don't hunt there, but looks to me that you don't have to check game during Archery (but I may be wrong) and this will explain why the station was closed.

I'm sure someone will pitch in and clarify.
