UCO gave some great advice. It is hard to give you general trapping advice. Where do you live? If you have any muskrats around they are great to start on. They are easy to catch and the traps are fairly inexpensive. Your best bet would be to get a book. Farmland Fur Trapping by Bernie Berringer is an excellent book to help get you started. It covers most animals you want to catch, the type of trap to use and the type of baits and sets to use. It is important to do things correctly so you treat the animal in a humane way.
