Default RE: The New American Sportsman

I watch it every week. I find it pretty interesting though. Some of the people they have on there are real outdoorsmen. Last week they had Jeff Kent hunting whitetail on his South Texas Ranch. That guy has got it made. He plays baseball for a living, then in the offseason he manages this huge ranch and his deer heard. Plus he is an avid bowhunter. Pretty cool to see that some big stars do some things similar to us regular joes.

If I do have one major complaint about the show is Deion. I hate that guy. And the word hate is not too strong. He just ticks me off. It was better last year when Rick Schroeder was the host.

Ok my last thing. When people who are not necessarilly into the outdoors and hunting sports see a pro athlete or an entertainer going out in the woods or fishing, it brings more exposure to our sport. They may not see it as such a bad thing because hey Jarod Washburn is a hunter, and yet he is a pro athlete and is always in the spotlight. It just gives our sport another prevelent voice, which most of us don' t have. But I still HATE Deion.

Thanx,

Schemy
