I don't have a book on general shotshell reloading because I only load one type of shell. The wads I buy for those shells have reloading data with them so I just use that. If you are going to be using a number of different shells then a book may be useful. And if you just want more general info a book wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I think the 1 1/8 charge bar will work for a number of different shot sizes, although I believe it's based on 7 1/2 shot. That's where a reloading scale will come in handy, so you can double check the weights thrown of both shot and powder.
