that looks like a good ol' flobert garden gun. they were are still are common in europe and to a lesser degree mid 40's canada. most of the original flobert shotguns (of the flobert factory, inventor of the first factory rimfire) are of french origin. garden shotguns of flobert design have been made by just about every majour euro gunmaker. they are still made uncatalogued by anshultz, steyr, fabarm and walther and they all look about the same. judging by the look of the split bridge and cut extration port id say you have a genuine 9mm flobert garden shotgun of french production by either by flobert arms, verney carron, saint ettienne or saint hubertus. be watchfull when buying ammo, haemmerli of switzerland brought out a centerfire 9mm flobert (shells marked 9mm swiss flo.) but 99% garden shotguns in 9mm french flobert are rimfire.
