Also I checked my sabots to see if they were torn up or any damage if I had lands in my barrel. They looked flawless, could almost use them again
This sentence worries me a bit.... what sabot are you using? It really does not sound snug enough...
I understand with the low amount of powder you are using that the petals would not be peeled back but you should see the engraved lands marks on the sabot.
One other thing, I am thinking - the sabot is supposed to obturate to the bore with the combustion of the powder - it the sabot is to thin you would need to up the powder amount to get that done to insure a positive sabot/bore seal.
Started out again with 85 grains and still could not hold a group together. I thought for the heck of it I would try 90 grains.
Kinda what you are saying right here.. more powder created a better seal... I have a regular Triumph and I am shooting 110 grains T7 with 250 to 300 grain bullets and it shoots lights out... Also I am shooting a MMP HPH-24 sabot other find the short black Harvester works best for them, they both fit very snug.
Not trying to get you off track just tossing out some ideas...
