Default RE: IBO 2004 rules

I realy don' t think that the addition of the 11 or twelve ring is the reason of the fall in participation at local levels!! The 12 has been there forever in the ASA !! The 11 ring is not going to keep people from shooting if they realy want to. The local shoots as long as they are not a qualifier don' t have to even score the 11 or 12 ring. I recall a few years ago when you traveled to a shoot and there would be between 100 and 400 people at these events, however that may have been the only shoot that month within 50 to 100 miles of where you live. What I am saying is that, now we have 10 different shoots every weekend to choose from and everyone is shooting different places. You can only cut that pie so many times, and the pie is no larger than it was a few years ago, then the result is a smaller piece of the pie. And the 11 or 12 rings are not going to make that pie any smaller.. As far as those same 10 guys at the top week after week, I dont think it will change. I know some really good shooters that dont even turn in there score cards at local shoots for that reason. Heck, some dont even keep score except among there friends they are shooting with. Aim small miss small (IMO)
