Obviously you can't take that many total deer, because the total of bucks knocks out some of those maxes.. But yea, I understand if you get 5 total days to hunt, selection is the last thing on your mind and filling the freezer takes president.. I have no problem with taking enough to keep you through the year, but don't whack a spike with 3 does, sizable larger, standing next to him.. Just IMO.. But really that decision is up to every individual hunter.. Thanks for listening to me vent though..

With seasons like that,.I understand your frustrations. I never have understood why states dont wake up and realize the potential income from a buck management perspective. If the states would take care of the Doe population, the bucks would have a chance to grow.
In Kansas, the State wants to charge a non-resident $77.50 for an antlerless tag,...residents pay $17.50 ,....Yet they want herd reduction in certain areas. I say ,...if a nonresident has paid his $322.50 for a antlered/antlerless tag,..his $72.50 for a license,...just give the hunter an antlerless tag and he will most likely take that Doe.
It wont be long now,...corn is starting to get cut,....silage too. Once they start moving, roadkills will be on the rise.
