Guessing at your muzzle velocity and using Lee Shooter, here is a chart of your 250 shockwave ballistic.
Next is a chart of what might happen with a 300g bullet.

Note that the 300g bullet, even though it starts out slower than the 250g bullet flies about the same, because it has a better ballistic coefficient. It could be you have a higher muzzle velocity with the 250g bullet than i gave credit for, but it should be close.
Lastly, here is a chart of what the 300g bullet would do if you sight it in about 2 3/4" high at 100 yard. One can see that holding center of chest out to 190 yard will result in a dead deer.
