When I had my Marlin .30-30 (I sold it last year), it always liked Rem Core-Lokt 150gr. The 150's shoot just a hair flatter, and still carry enough energy to drop a deer in its tracks.

BTW... A scope on a .30-30 ?!? No, man, no... Putting a scope on a lever gun is like putting combat boots on a ballerina!!!

Edit: I sold the old .30-30 because I didn't use it that much, even though I kept it with iron sights. I always used my Savage .308 with a Bushnell 3-9x40 scope. It beat the snot out of my old .30-30 so I figured I'd part with it.
