Yes, both the .50 & .54 are 1-48 twist. I personally like that twist. Now granted if I were shooting roundball all the time at long distances, then the 1-66 or 1-70 would be my choice without a doubt. But for the kind of hunting I do, that 1-48 works just fine.

As for weather, yes a lot of the heat is past us. Maybe these insane high temps will stay away. We hit 53º last night and they are talking 48º tonight or tomorrow night. Now that's good sleeping weather. I had the fans in the windows last night and got the house down to 59º this morning. Had to wear a insulated shirt in the house but it felt good to be a little cold again.
