Today was the day i planned to paint the floor, so i grabbed a couple of rifles, the bi-pod, and headed for the hills. It was only 67*, so shooting was good, and was done standing, using the bi-pod. The target was at near 102 yard.
The Triumph has a 4x scope, and it was loaded with 270g Gold Dot in a crush rib sabot, pushed by 105g of BH209, which was ignited by W209 primer. Seven shots on the target looked like:
The Accura followed, and has iron sights with a peep. It was loaded with 300g Gold Dot in short black Harvester sabot, pushed by 105g BH209, ignited by W209 primer in a home made breech plug. I believe using the scope first, had me miss-using the iron sights i.e. holding too high. The following 7 shot target looks kinda scant.
Using the bi-pod sure has helped my ability to 'squaeeeeze' the trigger.
