We had to move a mobile home we will be moving for a guy tomorrow out of the land owners way. I guess they had to cut a few trees for the new moduler they will be putting in. I had talked with the owner (a farmer) and he told me he might know someone with some land I can hunt or lease.

I gave him my number and he said he would let me know. well today we went out of our way and took time out of our day to move the trailer 30 feet so he could drop the trees. He told me he talked with his partner and they have a 120 acre tract of land they farm for a woman and he thinks he might be able to talk her into leasing me the hunting rights or just letting me hunt it. I guess there is about 20 acres of woods on it.
He also told me him and his partner has been looking at picking up a large tract with 40 acres of woods and would know in the next day or two if they get it and said he is sure his partner would be happy to let me have the hunting rights.

So looking like I might get atleast one plot to hunt private all to myself(besides the trespassers)
I do have a question being southwest indiana with corn and beans around it for miles is there any reason to do a food plot if I can? Thinking it would be a waste of time and money. Though some throw and gro might be the ticket. Or is the corn and beans going to give to much of a food source?
I guess something like some winter greens for the winter might work.
