Default constriction question

I had a choke that was in .665 constriction and it cracked. I contacted the manufacturer and they were out of the .665 but the gentleman asked me what ammo I was using (heavy-13 3.5" #6) and said that the .675 would work with that load better. I have patterned the the gun with this choke and it is a great pattern but that's not my question. I was sure that .675 would be more open than a .665 but on their web site it is talking about constriction. With .675 being a higher number would .675 of constriction be tighter?

This is copied off of their web site.

MODEL # 0006 BROWNING INV +: standard constriction .665 - Call for .675 constriction

Also available are the world Still target champion chokes in Model #0006 in .675 diameter. Ported and non ported versions.
