I don't hunt over a bait pile, never have. With that said, if it's legal, have at it in my opinion I wouldn't think any less of another hunter. Heck I don't even hunt on a crop, I hunt the trails to and from. But thats me, enjoy your "legal" hunt is what I say!!!!
