Default RE: Leupold Rifleman scopes

In over 35 plus years of shooting, hunting, and owning Leupolds I have had only two that didn' t function properly. Both were returned to the factory...both were repaired and expiditiously returned to me....and worked fine after that! I have no experience yet with the new Rifleman' s scope line from Leupold...but I do have experience with their customer service....and to this point it has been great. (I' ve long since loss count of the exact number, but to date I have owned between 30 or 40 Leupolds....for perspective. And they have been mounted on rifles including .338' s, lightweight .35' s in medium calibers, 9.3mm' s, .375' s, and .458' s. They have seen more than a little recoil, riding in ATV gun boots, and dealing with environments like Alaska. To say that I have confindence in their performance....would be an understatement!

I do not have " brand loyalty blindness" either. I have owned scopes ranging from one or two Tascos, Simmons, and Bushnell Banners from the low end all the way to Schmidt & Bender, Kahles, and Zeiss at the other. (And once had to return a $1,200.00 Zeiss to Zeiss of America for warranty work...they paid shipping both ways and returned it to me in " about" a week, very quickly to say the least!)

I currently own one Bushnell Trophy model mounted on a CZ in .223 Remington and it has worked fine to this point. I own two Nikon Buckmasters...mounted on a Rem 700 .260 Remington and another on a Savage 111 .30-06 and they work good to this point. I have one B & L on a Ruger .22 Hornet and except for one other scope on a .17 HMR the balance of my current scopes are Leupold. They are for the most part a good value for the money. I have long since quit trying to " push my luck" on finding " inexpensive" scopes that are reliable. When you do...sometimes you get lucky and sometimes....?

Good luck on your decision!
