Bows and muzzle loaders are supposed to be primitive weapon. Lighted nocks aren't primitive in the CDOW book. Lighted sights aren't allowed either. In both cases it shows intent to shoot before or after legal shooting hours. Oregon ban overdraws many years ago saying they were an unfair advantage because of the speed increase. Sabots and powder pellets aren't legal in CO for muzzle loaders but 209 primers are. I am not sure how they made the choices but they did. End result is the same follow the rules or deal with the consequences if you get caught.
Yes I carry a pistol when I hunt but I have never had to use it.
