If your wanting to learn for yourself, a good place to start is with the Easton arrow tuning Guide. If you go to eastons websight it will have a link for a downloadable version of their guide. It covers most everything and is a great place to start.
Dead center sounds like a good place to start. But you need to tune from there and yes you may need to raise your nocking point, but only as a result of what your arrow needs (tune with the arrow your gonna shoot).
