I had one of the old Hoyt Pro vantage hunters set at 85 lbs., I used it as a backup when I had one of my Grand slams limb split. The Hoyt couldn' t shoot the 2419s like the Grand slam did. I actually had to drop down to 2317s in order to keep the trajectory close. I had my Grand Slam chronographed back in the middle 80s when i shot 2419s at 720 grains. the bow shot 240-245 consistently. The bow was about 97 lbs. My old Graphlex shafts also shot real nice.
I know about arm trouble[:@] from shooting heavy bowss. i had an intrapment of my ulna nerve in my left arm (elbow) from the years of shooting. I had to give up a compound for years because of the hand shock coming into my elbow actually caused me to drop the bow from my grip. Last year was the first in over 10 that i shot a compound again, (Mathews Conquest II) These new compound riser designs are real nice.
