If I had the extra cash I' d go with the Encore .50cal and then buy a .22-250 heavy barrel. The T/C Encore is a beautiful and exceptionally well made rifle system, and you can' t beat the ability to switch the barrel to one of approx. 50 something different centerfire rifle or pistol calibers, and shotgun gauges.

If you want to save a little bit of money, then the Omega is a great choice. From what I understand, the Omega' s barrel is virtually identical to the Encore' s, except for the parts that mount them to their respective rifle actions. Their barrels are the same length (don' t believe the advertising hype, if measured from breech to muzzle they are the same), have the same muzzle system (QLA) and share the same breech plugs.

You won' t go wrong with either gun.
