I always build my own stands. Yeaqrs ago I would build my ladder stands out of treated wood but I now build all my ladder and tower stands out of metal. I mostly use 1" square for my ladder stands and put a treated plywood floor and swivel seat in them. I build my tower stands out of angle iron with treated plywood sides, floor and roof. I like to look in a catalog for ideas and then build them to my own specs and likes. -- CDH
